Drunk on her scent

Drunk on her scent,

my face buried

in the nape of her neck.

Your soft flesh

Your soft flesh,

your moist lips

tremble at the touch

of my fingertips. . .

If I speak your name

If I speak your name

you will appear. 

Thus I invoke Love

not Fear.

The line of her jaw

The line of her jaw

beneath my fingers,

the clock is ticking…

My head on your breast,

the rhythm of life pounding

slowly in your chest .

I would take your pain

I would take your pain,

my love, and make it my own

if only I could.

In a world without
love
all meaning is lost.

youth is not lost but transformed

to be loved by a woman
