Winter sun,

my third eye

blazing in the sky.

The sky hangs low

over the city tonight,

reflecting yellow

sodium light.

Walking home alone

bare winter branches,

the sky soft and pink.

Black clouds roll

Black clouds roll

through my mind –

the sky smiles.

The afternoon sky

The afternoon sky
haunted by
the ghost of the moon…

drifting slowly

Drifting slowly
across the blue,
white clouds and my mind…

Through my window

Through my window
mountains and sky
smeared by the gore
of smashed flies.

Above the steeple

Above the steeple

blue sky crossed by contrails,

prayers of the faithful.
