These brown eyes gazing

at mountains and sea, the eyes

of the universe.

Shadows lengthen

Shadows lengthen,

creeping up the hills –

the sun sinks westward.

Full moon ascending

Full moon ascending –
beyond dark mountains, the sea
pounds the night.

The misty mountains

The misty mountains

roll away

into the blue and endless day…

Through my window

Through my window
mountains and sky
smeared by the gore
of smashed flies.
