Gray autumn sky,

bare trees,

I kick through piles

of brown leaves.

Wind in the trees

Wind in the trees,

a sound like water flowing

overhead.

The blood of trees

The blood of trees
thick and sticky
upon my fingers.

Driving Highway 1 –

the sea sparkles and shines

between racing pines.

Watching the trees dance

Watching the trees dance,
great pines swaying gently,
I hear wind chimes…

number 18, a river of stones...

Approaching midnight

Approaching midnight

and the wind roars through the trees

like a river.

this golden morning,

a riot of birds!

Ring around the moon

Ring around the moon –

a cool breeze
rustles the trees…

These great trees

These great trees
charred by fire
still reach for the sun.
