Winter has come

Winter has come
as winter will
with bare bone skies
and catacomb chill.

At night we huddle
by the fire, clinging
one to one –

and try not to think
how far we’ve wandered
from the sun.

An old one, pulled out and reconsitituted for the Thursday Think Tank # 74 - Winter, at Poets United!
