Writing it down since 2002!
I know the feeling!
Richard, I remember reading "Winter's Tale" and at first thinking I wanted to write a book. Then I got so intimidated by Helprin's style that I backed off! This was like a great appetizer - one bite, you're ready for the main course. Your style is short but sweet, and that's always hard for me - you do it so well. Peace, Amyhttp://sharplittlepencil.wordpress.com/2011/11/15/the-balancing-act-of-life/
I guess many of us do, Libby!I believe that writers are also readers, so I suspect this a kind of perpetual loop of influence and creation which writers/readers are in the middle of.Amy - I read Winter's Tale" ages ago! I remember being enchanted by that book. I may still have my copy cos' i'd intended to re-read it at some point. I'll have to see if it survived recent book purges.I do try to keep it short and, yes, sweet. This style has even influenced my longer work. Thanks, as always, for reading!
