In over three years of blogging, the quiz below is, I believe, the first I have ever posted in this space (though I have certainly taken more than a few on-line quizzes over the years). My results on the politics test seem fairly accurate and did not surprise me at all. I doubt they will surprise any long time readers of this blog (there are a few of you out there, I know), either. I suppose I am breaking precedent and posting the results of this test, showing just how far left I lean, because the subject of left and right and political division in general is one that has been on my mind of late - particularly the false and ultimately illusory nature of such divisions. So, even as I display my liberal/socialist results like a badge of honor and join groups such as The Big Brass Alliance and The Lefty Directory because I believe that there is strength in numbers, I know that to choose sides and, more importantly, to view "the other side" as an enemy is a fatal mistake. God and all his angels know that I'm no mathemetician but how do you figure? I scored 85% socially and 18% economically to your respective 76% and 15%.
Not that it really matters, of course, as we are (as they say) both on the same page.
