If you like word games and/or wasting time when you should be working on your novel, may I suggest Babble (a fun, free and rather addictive on-line hybrid of Scrabble and Boggle)?

Consider the chain of cause and effect
which led to your creation –
the meeting of your parents, for instance,

and their parents before them –
now follow that chain link by link
through your imagination

and farther.

Past the origins of the human race,
far beyond the birth of planets, stars,
galaxies – a time before time and space.

There is primordial heat here.
The chain we have followed melts
and disappears into its own beginning:

no larger than the point of a pin,
infinitely dense, a singularity wherein
you and the universe are spinning.
